Giving Back
One of Nothern Power's core covenants (the central tenants that inform our mission & vision) includes giving back to the communities and families in which we are a part. Some of the local initiatives we have been involved in include providing the planning, material, or labor for community lighting projects including ball fields and schools. As a family owned and operated business, we are committed to knowing and serving the people in our local communities and feel blessed to do so!

Hurricanes Milton and Helene
Hurricanes Milton & Helene
Fall 2024 brought some devastating weather patterns to those in the Southeast. Hurricanes Helene and Milton claimed many lives and caused devastating damage to power infrastructure over large distances. In conjunction with Phillips & Jordan, Inc., MTV Solutions, and D&D Power, we were able to provide a large storm restoration response that aided utilities in western North Carolina & parts of Florida for many weeks. The families of the communities impacted were inspiriting to our crews, supporting us with meals, laundry, and lodging during our time in the area. The Mars Hill Elementary School was our home-away-from-home in western North Carolina, and the students provided a wonderful send-off when our buckets and crews returned home to their families. Our prayers continue to be with those impacted by this season's devastating storms and we are grateful to be able to respond with skilled and reliable craft.
